Today, I’m wearing green to show my support for the fight against kidney disease. March is World Kidney Month, and I’m backing this cause through The Iya Project, overseen by The Iya Foundation, Inc.
Their mission, as stated on their official website, is to save lives by educating about chronic kidney disease and raising awareness, while also raising funds to assist low-income uninsured End Stage Renal Disease Patients.
The Iya Project has been a great inspiration to me. I regretted not having a green outfit for an official photoshoot during my recent trip to Europe. Upon returning, I made sure to wear this olive green top today to express my support. I hastily snapped this photo with my phone under poor lighting, hence the quality isn’t the best. Nonetheless, it’s the thought that counts, and my mind was focused on supporting the fight against kidney disease.
In the near future, I aim to interview the Founder of The Iya Foundation, Inc., Iya Bekondo, a kidney transplant survivor whose dedication to fighting kidney disease has always inspired me, especially during March. Stay tuned for more on The Iya Project.
Please join me in supporting the fight against kidney disease. This battle is ongoing, extending beyond March. For ways to get involved, please visit The Iya Foundation’s official website.
