The problem that we face that I think we’ll continue facing as a people is that we vehemently refuse to grow out of our emotions and worse of all, we choose who to believe and what to believe. Call that the power of your mind, of course you have power over your thoughts, but at the end, make sure you’re not fooling yourself to look good in the eyes of people who aren’t even down with you!
It’s pathetic that people will want to run you over so bad that, they walk miles in search of fuel just to accomplish their mission. If not for hatred and disrespect, how can a modern day music lover and fervent follower of Cameroonian music, especially in recent times, say Jovi hasn’t spoken about the Anglophone crisis? That’s witchcraft!
Mr. Valsero like a father believes solidarity in the music industry, is what will give Cameronian musicians the relevance that they don’t seem to be getting. However, he fails to paint the picture that the industry is as divided as the country itself. Reading from PoiseSocial this morning, a post by Norbert Kah, stated it very clear and I’m so down with it.
Mr. Shyne’s arrest is the main reason for Valsero going at artists. The artist in question was arrested and detained for alledegly stealing an Avensis car, these are just rumors, so it’s unclear what people have to go out there and fight about.
As a matter of fact, many artists who were tagged in the video of yesterday would be discontent, but many won’t voice out their dissatisfaction, but instead of looking at Jovi, who has the guts and like the ‘mouthpiece’ of this quiet generation, they’ll look at it from another angle.
This is Phillbill spotted with Jovi. The latter being who he is wouldn’t trust him maybe, but just that they can sit together and share a drink should tell you that some people can only open up to the ones who’re free from uncalled judgement.
Dare to look beyond, pride and personal confrontation.
