THE CLASH BETWEEN SINGERS MIMIE AND KAMENI
When there’s some misunderstanding between two artists especially females, the controversy turns to last longer on social media usually because naturally, women hardly resolve their issues. I think Mimie and Kameni have been two consistent and active female singers who are not just hardworking but ready to take their careers to another level. After a few booming singles, Kameni released an EP, “Love & Hustle” and ever since, she has added much value to her brand.
Mimie on the other hand has been quite empowering. 2021 for Mimie has been an enviable one; doing music, comedy and movies have helped to push her up the ladder. Mimie wanted a collaboration with Kameni, but unfortunately, the request came at a period when Kameni was quite busy. This brought about some heat which lasted for weeks. Kameni then put out a public apology to Mimie, who did not repsond to the apology.
Yesterday, Laura Dave Media released an exclusive interview with Mimie on Pakle, and asked her if she would prefer to do a collaboration with Kameni or Jöel Lafleur? She smiled – understandably, and replied, Kameni. She said that Kameni is very talented and that she admires her style. She added that just because they had a misunderstandng does not mean that she will not want to collaborate with her.
Mimie’s response to the question was mature and strategic. Either she had a good PR team advising her on how to reply to certain tricky questions that can put you in a no-win position or she’s just a smart lady who understands that in order to survive int he entertainment industry, you need to learn how to not burn bridges.
Kameni is currently in Dubai with Tzy Panchak, Vivid Smith, and Cleo Grae for a show which is reported to have been a sold out last night. We can’t confirm if it was sold out or not but they are in Dubai.
To conclude, we looking forward a Mimie-Kameni collaboration when both artists are less busy. until then, keep listening hot song Faya by Mimie featuring Locko.
