The tall and slender dark skinned model is Nyakim Gatwech, a Sudanese model who who was once a refugee, has fast risen to massive popularity since 2016 on Instagram and in the fashion scene in NYC as she unapologetically embraces her African heritage and dark-skinned complexion (a physical trait quite common among the Sudanese people who are usually tall, thin and very dark-skinned), something many darker skinned black people are still embracing about themselves.
