Who watched the very hyped up “SURVIVING R. KELLY” six episode docuseries that was being shown on the US Lifetime Channel since Jan 6th, 2019? If you haven’t, then you might need to take some blood pressure pills before you do because what you will be watching may or may not shock you depending on your knowledge of R. Kelly prior to watching the series. According to Lifetime, in the docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly,” women are emerging from the shadows and uniting their voices to share their stories. ” This is the first time ever that people from the singer’s inner circle and survivors are coming out according to Lifetime, “with new allegations about his sexual, mental, and physical abuse. They are now finally ready to share their full story and shed light on the secret life the public has never seen.”
About 2 million people tuned in to watch each of the six episodes of the new docuseries that explores the abuse allegations against Chicago R&B superstar R. Kelly, according to Nielsen numbers released today. TMZ broke the news that R.Kelly is now being investigated as a result of the docuseries.
As a recap, about 17 years ago, videos of R.Kelly peeing on a minor (you could see him clearly in the video), went viral on the internet and all. Another video of the artist inappropriately conducting in sexual acts went viral as well during that time and then came many other accusations about his acts with underaged girls. But as you can see nothing happened. Then there was also the late Aaliyah, who was only 15 years old when it was reported that she and R. Kelly allegedly got married. Many believe that if these underaged girls that R.Kelly allegedly was involved with were white, he would have been in prison a very long time ago as this would have been a much higher profile case.
