Cameroonian Artist and Music Producer Zillo released his latest song Company. Zillo who was born and bred in Cameroon moved to Maryland, USA after completing his primary and secondary education in various towns such as Douala, Limbe and Bamenda where he currently resides. Going back to his song and video, Company is an interesting song with a pretty cool video. But what made us really like the video and song combo?
For starters when we first see Zillo walking from one room to what might be a studio set, we already knew he had some kind of swagger walkin’ like a true brotha! Although I really didn’t pay too much attention to the lyrics past ” I no fit leave you I no go lie”, I did notice instantly that Zillo is a FYYYNE brotha and easy on the eyes and to top it off, he his part of the #BeardGang family with a nicely groomed beard and mustache. Now for the beard lovers, it cant get any better than that can it?
Another thing we absolutely appreciated was Zillo’s consistent use of African Prints aka Ankara throughout the video. He rocked four different ankara styles from the moment we saw him and we totally loved him in his stylish blazers, with our favorite look being the blazer worn with stripped pants as it reminded us of something Will I Am of the Black Eyed Peas would rock! That eclectic, edgy and yet stylish look. So the styling was on point in the video if you’re into that kind of look.

As the video progressed we saw moments when Zillo threw in some dance moves with his leading video vixen whom we also enjoyed seeing wearing a couple of beautiful African prints matching Zillo’s outfits. So from a fashion perspective, it was nicely coordinated and all in all its a simple cool video showing Zillo having a good time dancing away to his his song. The beats were cool even though I didn’t care too much for the song’s lyrics as I felt like he repeated a few sentences over and over again. However, with a swag like his and his energy, I’m sure there is more ready to be unlocked by this artist musically and creatively but until then, watch and enjoy the video.
