Idris Elba’s daughter didn’t talk with him for three weeks after she failed to make it into the cast of the movie “Beast”. According to British actor Idris, his daughter wasn’t casted in his movie, which brought about serious issues between him and her.
The British actor told The Breakfast Club that his daughter auditioned for a role in the movie and when she didn’t land the role of his character’s offspring in the movie as he did not think it was the right fit for her, she blocked him and didn’t talk to him for weeks.
“Interesting enough my daughter auditioned for this role, she wants to be an actress and you know, it came down to chemistry in the end you know, my daughter and I, she’s great.
The relationship in the film and the relationship between my daughter was, the chemistry wasn’t right for a film weirdly enough. My daughter didn’t talk to me for about three weeks.” said Elba.
The movies producer Will Parker who was also at The Breakfast Club, confirmed that he broke the news to Idris Elba’s daughter that she did not get the part. He also gave Idris Elba and Ice Cube props for not practicing nepotism and said those two actors want the best for their kids but are hard on their kids as they want their kids to go through the tough process like everyone else.
