As lovers of African fashion brands and designers, The HotJem is always scouting for the latest in African fashion and today we are here to serve you with some more eye poppin’ and mouth watering styles. In our fashion radar is an African clothing brand based in Buea, Cameroon called JS Designs (also seen on their social media accounts as JS Designs 237). We have been seeing photos of their clothes popping up on our social media networks and we liked what we saw and decided to showcase their work here on THEHOTJEM.COM. In this feature, JS Designs shows off some of their clothes and designs in a well thought off photoshoot using models from the fashion and entertainment industries. Their models are Radio Personality Nabil Nabstar FonGod, Model Yimga Stephanie and Singer Roqzen Finila.

This brand indicated that they “design quality tailored clothing for both male and female.” Some public figures we’ve seen rocking JS Designs are actress Malvis Ann Mohvu and Nabil Nabstar FonGod of Nabstar Radio. Nabil has been seen on several occasions wearing JS Designs on the red carpet and at events. Therefore, it is not clear if he is an official Brand Ambassador for the brand or if he was selected to model their clothes for this photo shoot just because he has often been seen wearing the brand. Nabil is known for his edgy street style looks which goes well with his line of work and JS Designs seems like that ‘go to’ brand where public figures and entertainers can go to for a selection of edgy and funky clothes to fit any style.

Like some of the newer fashion brands, JS Designs seems to cater to people primarily in the entertainment industry (as well as other industries). We believe that targeting the entertainment industry is a good starting point for any fashion brand and an area to tap into, to get their brand to be noticed especially since in Cameroon, many artists, actors, actresses and entertainers in general still do not have personal stylists, let alone permanent stylists as part of their team. Therefore, record labels could work with brands like JS Designs to secure outfits for their artists photo shoots, videos, concerts and public appearances . This also applies to actors/actresses who always need a change in clothes in their movies and need outfits for red carpet events.

One thing we’ve noticed while going through some of their designs on Facebook and Instagram is that, JS Designs seems to have something for almost everyone’s taste as their designs range from evening gowns to modern African print styles to street styles and more. So enjoy the photos and tell us which is your favorite outfit.
