Australian tennis legend and the most decorated female tennis player of all time, Margaret Court, has called out Serena Wiliams in a recent interview as she had a few things to say about Williams.
According to the 80-year-old, she has always admired Williams but she doesn’t think Serena has ever acknowledged her despite her heroics. Court also said Serena Williams behavior towards her opponent after losing was neither professional nor exemplary. She thinks her predecessor didn’t show enough sportsmanship.
Court added that she wished she had played in this era of tennis. She believes that tennis players who played in her own era were far better than the ones now, because during their time, they didn’t really have the facilities players have now.
Only Margaret Court and Serena Williams have won the most Grand Slams in the history of tennis. However, with Court leading Williams by a one, that is, Court winning 24 and Williams winning 23, she speculates that Williams has never acknowledged the difference.
