US-BASED CAMEROONIAN ARTIST VREEZY VILLE LAUNCHES HIS OWN RECORD LABEL CALLED “SANKPATA MUSIC GROUP”

In the era of a high number of emerging artists from Cameroon, some of them are thinking business and looking into business opportunities like many of their predecessors in the music industry in other countries. It makes sense if you think about it. This is exactly what US-based Cameroonian artist Vreezy Ville has decided to do. Vreezy has taken the reins as his own boss by creating his own Record Label called Sankpata Music Group.

Sankpata Music Group is registered in the USA and will be carrying out operations worldwide with special interest in Cameroon. The main objective of the label is to nurture and foster the talents of young Cameroonian youths and give them a platform to explore their dreams.

Sounds good right? Well before signing other artists remember that charity begins at home with the first signed artist of the label being Vreezy Ville himself! I’m sure many might be wondering how Sankpata came up with the name Sankpata. Well think no more as the CEO explains it:

“Sankpata is a word I coined to represent positive vibes or confirm (in pidgin). That’s exactly the energy I am putting behind Sankpata Music Group. Being a young artist myself I know how hard it is to find reliable professionals to harness and groom talent, that is why I created Sankpata Music Group, to bridge that gap and produce worldwide superstars”- says Vreezy Ville, CEO of Sankpata Music Group.

Other well-known Cameroonian artists who have also created their own record labels in recent times are Mic Monsta who was once signed to Kreef Entertainment but who is now signed under his label called Kwata Music Inc. and there are many more taking this bold step to take full control of their music career and the careers of others.

Which brings us to the question of the day… Is creating your own record label a smart move? Well only time shall tell but what we do know is that if you plan it out with a solid strategic plan, are business minded, have an amazing eye for talent, know the ins and outs of the industry (both good and bad) in addition to having financial support you are surely on your way to success but patience is the name of the game as success will not happen overnight.
