Martial Njiemoun popularly known as PMartt to many, is a young Singer/Rapper/Songwriter whose sound is said to rival the likes of Akon, Flo Rida, and Sean Kingston, with melodic pop tempos and a hip-hop vibe. He was born Cameroon but relocated to the United States at age 10. Barely speaking anything other than his native tongues of French and Bamoun, Pmartt learned the English language which later lead him to discover his passion for making good music.
He was recently casted on MTV’s new docu-series, “Time’s Up” which premiered on MTV in March 2014. Airing in over 7 countries, including Holland, Germany, Italy, Latin America, Switzerland, UK, Pmartt’s single “Caught In Love” is also featured on the show. After graduating from the Columbia College Chicago where he obtains a Bachelor’s in Music Business has moved on with his musical career with high determination to entertain his fans by performing around the nation at national events, concerts, music conferences, festivals, fashion shows, talent shows and much more. Not bad for a young Cameroonian boy who couldn’t even speak a word of English when he moved to the US.
HERE’S WHAT WE THINK:
After listening and watching the songs/videos of two of PMartts old songs called Somebody – a hiphop song released in 2011 and Caught in Love released in 2013, one can sense how versatile his musical skills are; showing both his rapping and singing skills. Although we enjoyed the groovy danceable club vibes nature of Caught In Love, we liked Somebody a bit more! Loved its lyrics, beat and laid back flow and it made sense. With some more fine tuning, PMartt is surely on his way to something bigger. So we’ll be on the lookout for this Chi-town brotha. Until then sit back, relax and watch both videos:
