When we talk about some artists who have tasted fame and some level of success and still remain loyal and level-headed, we can’t help but mention Tzy Panchak and RENISS . This is not a comparative post but one to appreciate their service and loyalty to their respective record labels.
Reniss for one, has had the opportunity to leave New Bell Music ever since, but has since then weighed her chances of succeeding on her own and chose to trust the process and the label. What’s the point of trying to prove a point by doing it on your own even if you know it won’t be easy to put a team together?
We can’t talk about assets here, as we don’t have facts about the New Bell Queen but one thing we can all agree on is that she’s one of the finest hit makers from Cameroon. She has been so good that even the president of the republic of Cameroon could resite her “Dans La Sauce” lyrics, word for word!
It’s easy for women to get swallowed up by fame and attention but for Reniss to still he under New Bell Music to date, means she understands the assignment, i.e. she understand the job the label has done for her over these years. Her contract had probably ended but she knows what stress is involved in parading your career without a team that might not even understand your brand and journey.
Secondly, Tzy Panchak is our next example. While many people can easily let down their investors when fame and money comes knocking, Tzy has been with Blu Nation Recording since 2017 and has travelled the world and continues to do so.
If Tzy has still not made his way out of the label, doesn’t it ring a bell in your head that the contract could be favorable which permits him to renew?
While we always sh00t most artists in the brain for failing to pay their dues to their respective labels, we also fail to appreciate those who have been grateful to their partners and have not watered down the confidence most of their partners invested in them from the beginning.
In a nutshell, you have an option when your contract comes to an end; either to renew or to turn down. If these two are still committed to their respective labels over these years, it’s then good to say that not all record labels are vultures and exploitative when you play your own part!
