Yesterday TheHotJem.com got tipped by a reliable source that Steven’s Music star Daphne Njie and Legaci Company’s artist Abz who also goes by the alias Abztrumental were about to release their new song Ololiyo sometime this week. Steven Music has confirmed this via a press release sent out within the last hour as they official announced the upcoming release of Ololiyo.
Abz has increasingly gained fame in the Cameroon music scene not only as a solo artist, but also as sort after Beat Maker. Daphne is considered one of the biggest female artists in French Africa and is a rising star across the continent. This collabo therefore is a meeting of two of the best in the Cameroon urban scene. We hope that upon its release on April 8th 2020 as a joint venture between Steven’s and Legaci, you will love it as much as we do. “Ololiyo is the love story of our dreams” says Daphne. “Di kana love di cam na once in your lifetime”; she sings on the pre-hook.
The kind that leads a man to borrow to please his woman. During this crisis of COVID-19, we hope that a song like this can re-ignite the love we have for each other, especially couples who have found their lifetime partners and are now confined to the four walls of their homes. We hope that this song reminds you of your love ones and becomes an inspiration to all who long to be loved during these trying times. Ultimately, we just want to put a smile on the face of everyone who happens to listen to this song.

It draws into the music, signature elements of Makossa; especially the Saxophone/Trumpet sounds which standout beautifully on the beat. You will love the bridge, which incorporates the popular “Njang” sound of the North West people.
To make it relatable to all audiences, Abz and Daphne wrap their vocals seamlessly around the beat singing in French, English and Pidgin. It’s a signature Cameroon urban Sound Produced by Abztrumental and we hope it becomes an anthem to love.
