Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, is a 19-year-old content creator from Ikorodu, Lagos, who has become one of Nigeria’s most beloved TikTok stars. With his funny and relatable videos, Peller has captured the hearts of millions. He began his TikTok journey in 2021 and has since amassed an impressive following of 5.1 million, along with over 160 million total likes. His influence extends beyond TikTok, he also has a growing YouTube presence with 137,000 subscribers and 3.5 million views.
Peller’s rise to fame did not happen overnight. He was inspired by popular American content creators such as Kai Cenat, Fanum, IShowSpeed, and Duke, who are known for their energetic and distinctive styles. After watching these creators, Peller decided to launch his own online career in 2021. Although his early efforts did not attract much attention, he remained consistent and refused to give up.
It was in 2024 that his popularity truly skyrocketed, largely due to his comedy series, Peller’s Palava, which he created after collaborating with fellow Nigerian TikToker Jadrolita. The series became a turning point in his career, allowing him to showcase his storytelling skills and comedic timing.
A major boost came when Nigerian-Canadian rapper Dax joined Peller for a live stream, further solidifying his status within the TikTok community.
Peller’s hard work paid off significantly in July 2024 when he won the prestigious “Best Content Creator” award at the Trace Awards Africa on July 8, 2024, marking one of the highest points of his career so far.
His rise has been nothing short of remarkable. One of his standout achievements came in 2024 when he set a record for one of the most-watched TikTok live streams, attracting over 100,000 viewers. His comedy series, Peller’s Palava, highlights his ability to turn everyday situations into humorous and relatable content.
Beyond comedy, Peller has also ventured into celebrity interviews. Earlier this year, he interviewed Nigerian music icon Olamide in a conversation that quickly went viral. A few months later, he sat down with Tiwa Savage, marking another significant milestone. Fans are now eagerly anticipating his upcoming interview with Davido, scheduled for October 30, 2024. These interviews demonstrate his versatility – not just as a comedian but also as a capable and engaging interviewer.
Another notable aspect of Peller’s life is his relationship with fellow TikTok star Elizabeth Aminata Amadu, popularly known as Jarvis or Jadrolita. At 18 years old, Jarvis is widely recognized for her alter ego, the “TikTok AI Robot.” Together, she and Peller have become one of the most talked-about digital couples. They first met online through content collaborations, and their chemistry (both on and off screen) has been evident ever since. Their partnership has significantly boosted their popularity, making them one of the most followed couples on TikTok.
Peller’s content resonates far beyond Nigeria. His ability to blend Nigerian culture with universal humor allows him to connect with a diverse global audience. His use of Yoruba and Pidgin English further strengthens his authenticity and relatability.
With such impressive milestones and steady growth, it is clear that Peller is only at the beginning of his journey. His humility, creativity, and work ethic have positioned him for even greater success.
As he continues to rise, Peller remains grounded, actively engaging with his fans and staying true to his roots. His dream of becoming a leading TikTok star is already unfolding, and with major interviews and projects ahead, the future looks exceptionally promising for this young talent.
