Additionally, many companies around the world have shutdown, and/or have had to switch the way in which they work by allowing their employees to work remotely from home, so as to protect employees from potential exposure to coronavirus and to prevent the further spread of the virus in the event that an employee has the virus and may not know it. As a result of this, we often hear stories on social media (and from friends and family), of how bored everyone is from staying at home. I have read many tweets and comments on Facebook where parents who work from home, have complained about not knowing what to do with their children.
FEELING BORED? WATCH THE HOTJEM TV!
One can understand if their children are very young as I cannot imagine it to be easy to handle children under the age of 7 or 8 and have to work remotely at the same time if they don’t have childcare. But many of the complaints I have come across are people who either have teenagers, live alone or live with an adult(s). They say they don’t know what to do with them (the teenage kids or those they live with), or that their teenagers, family member or spouse/significant other are driving them nuts. Really? Well get used to it as this is the new reality. Back in the good old days, families would actually eat meals together and even play games like Monopoly and other game boards.
