Its Wednesday and guess what that means… another round of THJ’S amazing Woman Crush Wednesday (#WCW). Our woman crush today is long overdue and it is a young lady and budding entrepreneur who has proven herself time and time again that she is here to stay! She is the amazing lady behind the fashion brand called “Sandy Dynamics” and her work has been featured on several runways displaying her love for incorporating African Print material in her designs. Those who know me know that I’m a sucker for African Print and so you know I had my eyes on this up and coming diva and fashion designer. Her name is Sandrine Aboh but to her friends she is simply Sandy.
I got to meet her back in late 2014 in Douala at a Social Media event that I and a group of other bloggers were hosting, as she approached me and immediately told me that she wanted to make an outfit for me! I won’t lie… I was very shocked and pleased at her boldness and forcefullness to get her designs out there and especially since she knew that I was a fashion/lifestyle blogger for thehotjem.com.
Sandy is based in Douala, Cameroon where she like many other designers in Cameroon are constantly hustling and struggling to get their work out to the public eye. I have to say I really admire her energy as a Designer. She does whatever it takes to get her designs out there to whoever will notice. Her latest collections can be seen at the Fashion International Annual Fashion Avenue aka FIAFA event – a major fashion and cultural event that took place a few days ago in Cameroon and was a huge success. I am loving her designs and I am waiting for my outfit! 😉 Let’s just say she is one of my top favorite Cameroonian Designers/FashionPreneur and I can’t wait to see what see more of her work in the up coming seasons. What do you think? Which outifit do you like best?
All outfits for the FIAFA event created by Sandy Dynamics.
