How excited are Africans to finally see African Emoji’s that cater to the African culture? The makers of these new emoji’s call it Afro Emoji. What make’s it even more exciting is the fact that they use African slangs and words (some in Pidgin English) commonly used in West Africa, which makes sense given that this “Afro Emoji” app was created in Nigeria.

This app can now be downloaded via iTunes for Apple products and on Android. Our only question is Why call it Afro Emoji and not African Emoji? Are the makers of this amazing product trying to be politically correct? Afro versus African? What do you think?
