Although the world has highly developed and some traditions have vanished into thin air over time, there are still some places in the world which do not temper with their tradition, despite technological advancements. The Himba tribe is one of those.
KNOW ABOUT THE HIMBA TRIBE:
The Himba are indigenous people with an estimated population of approximately 50,000 people living in northern Namibia and also found in southern Angola. The Himba tribe also known as the Ovahimba in Namibia is a native tribe in Africa which offers free sex to strangers (guests) as their tradition demands. They have defied all western influences and hold firmly to their cultural beliefs.
According to the video (link below) by Pulse Live Kenya, these cultural beliefs are perceived as absurd by many. They have a practice which permits men to offer their wives to guests as their sign of excitement receiving a guest. This practice is called Okujepisa Omukazendu which means “offering wife to guests“.
After offering his wife to a guest, the husband does not have to sleep in the same hut as his wife and guest, instead he offers his wife and hut to the guest.
Polygamy is very much allowed in this tribe and due to the harsh climatic condition of the area, the Himba people do not have their baths with water.
