Where have we gone wrong?
A group of contributors to the media knew about her and the history she has continuously made, but still choose not to celebrate her. This makes me feel like we are not just “not informed”, but selective and biased. If not the latter then I don’t know what else to say but question if it is pure jealousy or hate at one of our own successfully break-though the norms and becoming and international icon?
In an era where feminism has been on a steady rise, most people snub the positive influence by women and/or feminists who speak with actions and talk about those who are just defensive and selfish. We need to be the change we need and stop being biased. As it will take us now where and only serve as a way to hinder our collective progress.
