FORBES AFRICA’S 50 MOST INFLUENTIAL WOMEN
Featured on the cover of March’s issue of Forbes Africa are four remarkable African women from different generations who have paved the way for countless others. These influential women have earned their spots on this year’s ’50 Most Influential Women in Forbes Africa’ list.
Among them is Africa’s leading female tech guru, Rebecca Enonchong, from Cameroon, as well as Africa’s highly sought-after media personality, TV host, and entrepreneur, Bonang Matheba, who has graced the covers of more international magazines than any other media personality from Africa.
From the overwhelming responses seen on Twitter and other social media platforms, Cameroonians are not only thrilled but also very proud to see their fellow compatriot, Rebecca Enonchong, listed in this prestigious category of women.
One can understand the source of their pride, especially after randomly polling many Cameroonians who follow the tech guru on Twitter, to gauge what her inclusion in the ’50 Most Influential African Women’ list means to them.
Many expressed their happiness at Cameroon not being overlooked, as often the spotlight tends to focus on Nigerians, South Africans, Ghanaians, and others, neglecting the achievements of Cameroonians who are also making significant strides. The fact that Rebecca has earned this recognition twice instills hope and a profound sense of pride in them.
