How sad that another one of Africa’s finest DJ’s and singers is dead. News has been circulating that Ivorian artist DJ Arafat also known as simply Arafat died today in a fatal motorcycle accident in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Minutes before his accident, Arafat was being videotaped while he was riding his motorcycle on what seemed to be a highway. A pro rider with many years of experience, he was doing a cool stunt that is popularly known as a “wheelie”, a maneuver on a motorcycle in which a motorcyclist raises the front wheel. This is not something newbies should attempt. Even a professional has to be extremely careful when doing a wheelie as one wrong move can lead to a crash. Arafat whose real names are Ange Didier Houon was only 33 years old but his fans will remember his work in the music industry in the Coupé Décalé genre. He leaves behind his mother, four children and his girlfriend. #RIP soldier.
