Skincare expert Dr. Edith Gibson, founder and CEO of the Tropical Derma Research Center headquartered in the United States, has been actively involved in giving back to the community, particularly in her native country, Cameroon, through various charitable initiatives and support for positive endeavors.
Recently, she initiated a compelling campaign aimed at combating drug abuse to safeguard Cameroonian youth from falling prey to drug consumption and its detrimental effects. Dubbed the ‘Don’t Do Drugs’ (DDD) campaign, it was successfully launched online and has since transitioned to offline platforms for more effective outreach to youths and individuals who have succumbed to this harmful practice.
On Friday, May 24, 2024, Dr. Gibson, also known as Edith Delight through her Delight Army brand, conducted their first outreach program at a school in Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon.
The Don’t Do Drugs Organization organized this program to educate students about the dangers of drug addiction. Alongside raising awareness, they introduced innovative drug test cups to be used in future campaigns.
Dr. Edith, their esteemed leader, attended the event and shared valuable advice with the students. Additionally, she provided financial support to the school, enabling them to reward diligent students with gifts and commendations.
It’s crucial to educate young people about substance abuse, and by utilizing the advanced drug test cups provided by DDD, they aim to promote a drug-free environment within the school community. Together, we can pave the way for a brighter and healthier future for our students.
To ensure the success and peacefulness of the workshop, she and her team were accompanied by security forces. Join the online campaign and help save youths from the dangers of drugs by using the following hashtags:
#SayNoToDrugs, #DrugFreeFuture, #ProtectOurYouth, #DontDoDrugs, #DDD
