Welcome to yet another edition of Gospel Ministers Across Africa. Our last episode featured legendary Nigerian gospel minister, Frank Edwards who has been able to put together 13 albums and still doing it for the kingdom, hence he was our focus in our last article.
Today, we take a look at contemporary worship gospel ministers across the African continent like: Denzel Prempeh, Deborah Lukalu and Emma Gospel, from Ghana, Congo and Cameroon respectively.
1. Denzel Prempeh – Ghana
If we’re talking about gospel music in Ghana in general and the worship exodus in particular, Minister Denzel Prempeh definitely makes it to this list for many reasons. He has not only been consistent for over 14-years, but he knows exactly how to set the stage, and the room ablaze, evoking the presence of the holy ghost with his deep ministrations.
Denzel who’s happily married, doubles as a pastor, a feat that makes him a special live music performer. He recorded live concerts every single year, from 2011 to 2019, consistently without skipping a year. Take out time to visit his YouTube channel for more extended worship sessions with Pastor Denzel.
2. Deborah Lukalu – Democratic Republic of Congo
Born in the Democractoc Republic of Congo but migrated to South Africa at an early stage of her life after the demise of father, Deborah didn’t only focus on studying, but she easily settle into the Gospel arena. Her unbeatable energy, vocal strength and deep commitment to the things of God has only made her a reputable worship ambassador.
Lukalu, has always made music that comes alive, particularly worship music that isn’t only timeless, but soul-searching. Her discography is immense with chart-topping albums and extended live concerts under her belt. The 30-year-old woman of God, is one artist you should be listening to, today, tomorrow and any time you are led by your spirit to pray and worship. Her biggest hit song is “Glorious” which has garnered over 17 million YouTube streams.
She’s one of the brilliantly talented and bilingual artists who sings in both French and English, giving her the ability to cut across all audiences.
3. Emma Gospel – Cameroon
The gospel industry in Cameroon isn’t left behind, even if it’s quite young and still emerging in many aspects. Even so, Cameroon is hugely blessed with a plethora of gospel singers and gospel ministers you should be listening to. Amongst many of these talented ministers, Emma Gospel is one you shouldn’t be sleeping on.
Based in the South West Region of the country, Emma isn’t new to the limelight even though there’s not so much documented about his works over the years.
He’s vocally gifted, with a deep sense of unrivaled scriptural worship qualities. He’s popularly referred to as The Psalmist, by many who patronize him. He has performed on international stages with top worshippers across the globe. Check Emma’s works and connect with uninterrupted worship.
