After winning his trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor Johnny Depp received $1 million as compensation from his ex-wife. Instead of adding the money to his fortune, he decided to teach his ex a bitter lesson by not using a penny from the money for personal affairs; rather he used the money to help five charity organizations.
On Tuesday it was revealed that Depp, 60, would split the funds for donations to five charities: the Make-A-Film Foundation, The Painted Turtle, Red Feather, Marlon Brando’s Tetiaroa Society charity and the Amazonia Fund Alliance.
According to Depp, investing in these charities is a sign of respect and appreciation to his two teachers who taught him everything he knows today.
