MBOKO GANG AND ASKIA PARTNER WITH BE PERIOD POSITIVE FOR THE ‘ONE GIRL ONE PAD’ PROJECT
Askia continues to make impact to many
As her fan base knows, Askia has grown and evolved into a new woman this year, who is finding her true skills and gift to positively impact other females. She has witnessed a mass rejuvenation in her career with respect to a change in lifestyle so far which is evident by the way, and she only gets better by the day.
She was present with her husband, Qilla and they not only supported the campaign or project with pads, but encouraged the teenage girls/ladies not to stay mute when faced with menstrual challenges. She also animated the young girls who were exceptionally excited to have met their Mami Bakala (a nickname Askia gave herself).

In an exclusive interview with The HotJem, Askia said,
It is a good initiative by the Mboko Gang and Be Period Positive, and I am happy for everyone who has come out to support the project, we have started on a good foot and at least everyone chipped in something for this outreach to be realized, and it is important because not everyone can afford a menstrual pad and we have to prevent them from using tissue paper.”
“Right now, I am just all about doing everything to unite women” she added. In reference to her Get The Bag concert’ coming up this weekend and what her expectations were, she said,
The Bag Concert is an amazing project, I wish everyone can just come out that day so that we can all have fun. The Bag concert is like pregnancy. Until the baby is here, you can never know what the future looks like.”
Slaying all in a Mboko Gang merch (merchandise) that has become a household brand, she was already asked her impression about the gang and her reply was hilarious:
Who said Mboko Gang is a bad gang? Let the person remove money from their pockets, fund projects like the Mboko Gang does and then they can talk, but if they can’t, they should not talk about the gang at all”.
