Meat Loaf Collapses On Stage While Performing In Canada

68 yr old singer – “Meatloaf” collapsed on stage while performing at a show in Edmonton on Thursday. It was reported that while singing his hit song “I will do anything for love“, he suddenly knelt down, fell on his side and then rolled through on his back! His band and crew quickly rushed to his aid and asked the audience to respect the situation and leave. Soon after paramedics arrived on the scene.

Unlike in Africa where people seem more concerned about taking pictures when something like this happens. A similar situation happened back in March when Congolese music legend Papa Wemba also collapsed while on stage and his scenerio took a turn for the worst as seen here. In my opinion, had the paramedics been better equipped and had they rushed him immediately to the hospital, he may have still been alive today. This goes to say that it is important to have a team of medical staff at every concert and every sports game as the rate at which artists and athletes are dying while performing or playing respectively is on the rise. Just my two cents!
