Former Ghanaian and Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has become the latest African player to acquire a UEFA coaching certificate.
Essien, 41, has a successful career, playing for big soccer teams like Chelsea, Real Madrid. He also played for the Black Stars if Ghana before eventually enrolling into a European coaching school where he has now been certified.
“Finally done with my UEFA certificate in football management journey. Thanks all for the help. I keep learning about the beautiful game.” – Essien took to his X formerly Twitter, account to share the exciting news.
The UEFA Certificate in Football Management (CFM) is designed for individuals involved in the administrative, operational, and management side of football clubs, federations, and leagues.
