Hello THJ’ers. Guess what? On our quest to discover Africa’s best talents, our love for arts and culture had us digging up some of Africa’s hidden JEM’s!! Oh boy did we find one for you – very talented Nigerian whose artwork in my option should be displayed at every major Museum globally. Her name is Ndidikanma Emefiele and when we discovered her artwork on social media we were like OKAAAAY! We were NOT disappointed!!!
Ndidikanma aka Ndidi’s artwork is sort of abstract and seems to tell a story. If you look closely at each one of her work, one can think that it might have some sort of feminist or “something around women” that tells a strong story. The characters in the 29 year old’s painting very colorful, funky and have a sense of rebellious independence but yet stylish in a hippie sort of way! We also love how she incorporates African Print into her drawings/paintings. Whatever the case, she is very talented and we are happy that more African female artists and painters are showcasing Africa in their own unique way and we really admire her work.
