From the likes of Salt ‘n’ Peppa, MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Foxxy Brown, Lil Kim’ and fast forward to today’s top female rappers like Nicki Minaj and Cardi B to name a few, these are women, who all have something special and daring, yet have a feminine touch to them and who have at some point in their careers defied the rules that rap music is for men and street gangs.
