
Over the years though, the brand loyalty for iOS and Android has shifted considerably. Dating back to 2013, iOS users were more loyal, but as from January 2016 through December 2017, Android seized the lead with a percentage rise from 89 to 91% while iOS loyalty ranged from 85 to 88%.
However, the CIRP says it’s we should note that the rate of those switching is not the same as the number of people switching. Android has a larger customer base than iOS, therefore the number of people switching from iOS to Android should be equal to or more than the number of people switching from Android to iOS. Levin of the CIRP says,

Looking at absolute number of users in this way tends to support claims that iOS gains more former Android users, than Android does former iOS users.”
To conclude, Apple’s iOS Loyalty Rate could be lower than Google’s Android, but Apple can still successfully steal more users as the years go by.
