Hi THJ’ers and Happy new month! As of yesterday, we are half way though the year! However, with changes each month around us, things never seem to change in the race department – or DOES IT? Anyway, maybe not for Danielle Brooks, the actress behind the Netflix hit series “Orange is the New Black” who tweeted about her recent encounter with an airport worker. Although we could not locate the actual tweet (she must have been deleted it), according to The Huffington Post the actress tweeted the following:
It seems as the actress felt as if the airport workers comment may have been racially inclined as in (and this is our meant to be funny interpretation of the airport workers statement ) ‘Lucky you sista girl (aka black girl) for being able to fly First Class as in its very strange and rare to see black people (especially black women) flying in First Class LOL‘!!
So there you go. Although this may seem as a touching matter to some, others may argue that the airport worker didn’t mean much to it and may have just made that statement in aw of the fact that she was flying in First Class. Who knows and what do YOU think? Was this comment racially inclined or not?
