Burna Boy who was a headliner for the concert, withdrew due to pressure and comments made by many South Africans, who were upset and retaliated as they did not share the same view as the organizers of “Africans Unite” as to why the Nigerian superstar would be performing at the concert and they termed it “an act of hypocrisy”, and who demanded an apology from the artist.
After Burna Boy refused to apologize to the South African’s as requested, the heat mounted beyond control, and for the sake of the safety of fans and to avoid any further disaster that could arise from riots and protests, the show has been completely cancelled. Full refunds will be made to those who had already purchased their tickets for the concert.
