Today will be a day to remember! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle now known as The Duchess of Sussex as her official royal title (she is not officially a Princess yet although many might still refer to her as that), have finally tied the knot! The world was quite shocked when they first appeared on TV and announced their engagement as Meghan who is an American actress defied all the rules of what would be the typical “wifey material” of a true Prince like Harry as she is half black, half white, she is a divorced women and three years older than the charming Prince!
But that did not stop the Prince who the world has always seemed to love along with his brother and heir to the throne, Prince William. Although very rich and are royalties, these two brothers have always had a “boy next door” type of feel as they come across as being relatable and accessible by the public. Unlike other celebrities who are not half as known and privileged as they are! Anyway, enough about the brothers but let’s just say, Meghan took the Simple route for her choice of wedding dress, and the couple definitely kept it simple with their cake.
But don’t get it twisted about their simplicity as it was reported that their wedding cost approximately $2.7 million dollars with approximately $180,000 going towards flowers and the rest… well let’s just say the wedding dress, rings, entertainment and all took a bulk of the chunk. Let’s think about it, $2.7 million dollars is like 60 Americans yearly salary for those who have an average salary of about $50,000/year (and many do)!
