The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) has recently announced the launch of its entrepreneurial program, designed to train and empower African youth.
This marks the 11th cohort since the Foundation’s establishment in 2010, and it continues to help lift African youth out of poverty while equipping them with essential skills.
Over the past 15 years, the platform has trained more than 2 million African youth and created jobs for over 1.5 million people across the continent.
The 2025 announcement is particularly timely, as Africa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem grapples with funding challenges and global economic pressures. TEF remains steadfast in providing critical support to empower African entrepreneurs, helping them transform their ideas into sustainable businesses and engines of economic growth.
Each selected Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur will receive $5,000 in non-refundable seed capital, world-class business training on TEFConnect, one-on-one mentorship, and access to global networks and investment opportunities. The selection process is being overseen by Ernst & Young to ensure an independent assessment.
