A visibly angry and disappointed Zambian father who goes by the name of George per the way he is referenced in the video, was caught on video (as seen below) slapping his son several times for failing his exams and skipping two exams.

Apparently, the teenager who attends the American International School of Lusaka with a tuition of approximately $21,000 USD/year (approximately 13 million FCFA & 8 million Niara), failed all their subjects except for Music and Geography.
To make matters worst, the boy did not bother showing up to take both his English and Mathematics exams, resulting in him receiving an “absent” grade.

In a video that was posted by someone on Twitter that went viral, from our observation, majority of those who commented, supported the fathers action and said, this is how children should be disciplined.
For those who were against the father slapping his son and who felt he should have had a father-son dialogue instead of beating him to find out why his results were bad, many who supported the fathers actions replied to them, and told them (sarcastically) to take their “Western” ideas and try that approach with their own kids and see if it works.
Other also replied those who were against the father approach by saying that they wouldn’t know until they spend their own hard earned money on a kid who doesn’t do well in school. Before we get to the video showing the father reacting angrily towards his son, here is a copy of the boy’s School Certificate (report card) and a document showing the school’s tuition as of 2018.
