In our today’s episode of What You Didn’t Know, we’re talking about #ConradMurray, the American doctor who spent close to two years in prison for manslaughter.
The former cardiologist was at the home of Michael Jackson, providing medical treatment to help him sleep on the night Jackson died in 2009.
In 2011, Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson’s death for having inadvertently overdosed him with a powerful surgical anesthetic, propofol, which was being improperly used as a bedtime sleep agent for the King of Pop.
Murray served roughly two years out of his original four-year prison sentence. Even at that, Michael Jackson’s sisters; Janette and Latoya are still hurting about their brother’s demise, as both are convinced Murray knew what he was doing and this had been premeditated.
According to Latoya, Michael had already told her about what would happen to him. In all, he knew he was going to die. According to his sister Latoya, Michael said they were after his music catalog and they would do anything to take him out. Murray pleaded not guilty, and told the court he was “an innocent man” and even after all that, he was sent to jail where he served two out of the possible four years. It has been close to 14 years since Micheal Jackson passed on.
