As shocking and as unbelievable as it may appear, your cell phone is 10 times dirtier than your toilet seat. We know you didn’t know so we are bursting your bubble, of course it’s what we do best.
According to a report published in Time, your mobile phone is 10 times dirtier than a toilet seat. A recent study undertaken in the US found more than 17,000 bacterial gene copies on the phones of high school students.
Meanwhile, scientists at the University of Arizona have found that mobile phones carry 10 times more bacteria than most toilet seats. While almost nobody answers the phone to actually talk anymore, and not all bacteria is harmful, it’s probably still worth taking some precautions.
Dermatologist Dr Harth Pretty has suggested using earbuds or the speaker on your phone instead of holding it next to your face. Or you could wash your hands? Wipe your phone?
There is no need arguing because very few of us really wipe or clean our phones. Everything our hands touches ends up touching the phone but the phone always appears clean !
Tip : Always use wipers with sanitary fluid to clean your phone from time to time. It might not kill all the bacteria but it can at least reduce and protect you from excess risk.
