Wizzie Vanazor Releases An Ep Titled Wasted Season And Compares Himself To Jovi

Having been strongly influenced by U.S. rap, particularly sounds from the East and West Coasts, the young Cameroonian rapper took to the studio to create 10 tracks. Each song has its own theme and sound, with much of the project speaking directly to young people, who are his primary audience.

With Wasted Season, Wizzie Vanazor wants to send a message of self-confidence, joy and love to young people who can easily become absorbed by what others are doing and influenced by the seemingly perfect and successful lives they see on social media. Constant comparison can ultimately affect their well-being and lower their self-esteem.

Following the EP, Wizzie promises more projects and even compares himself to Cameroon’s rap heavyweight Jovi Le Monstre, suggesting that producing and releasing music comes naturally to him.

Now, that’s a bold comparison, so we’ll have to wait and see. We listened to his song “Forever Lit,” and based on what we heard, we wouldn’t quite put him in Jovi’s league just yet. Jovi is still the “Mboko God”. But you might think otherwise, so listen to Wasted Season and tell us what you think.
