Africa’s #1 Female Tech Guru Rebecca Enonchong Released From Being Held By Police

On August 11, it was reported that one of Forbes Magazine’s top 50 most influential female, Rebecca Enonchong had been held at the gendarmerie in Douala, Cameroon. Yesterday the tech guru excitedly took to her Twitter page after her release and tweeted:

I’m free!! All charges dropped! We can retire the #FreeRebecca hashtag. So immensely grateful to all of you for believing in me and supporting me. ”

Many of Enongchong’s Twitter followers retweeted her post and were happy to see their tech queen back on Twitter.
