Losing your phone could be very depressing and frustrating. It becomes really a hard time trying to get a stolen phone back and most often, one needs to visit the police station or mobile operators for assistance. While this could be the safest way to go about it, it can take long for the process to be carried out. As such, there is an ease with which you can go about this without even involving the police or may be before involving the latter.
You might want to follow these steps when faced with such to help you track your phone yourself.
STEPS:
Your phone has a unique code no, IMEI no. This number can be used to track it anywhere in the world.
Step 1:
You can do this now and write down the code in the case of any theft. Dial *#06# from your mobile. Your mobile phone shows a unique 15 digit, save this digit. If you phone is already stolen you can get this code from the pack that your phone came with.
Step 2:
In the case that your phone was stolen, just send that IMEI number through E-mail to cop@vsnl.net with details as stated below:

Step 3
Wait for 24 hours as your mobile will be traced within next 24 hours. You will be provided with where your hand set is being operated and the new user’s no. will be sent to your email.
Step 4
At this point, you can inform the Police with the details You’ve gotten.
