CNN news anchor, Don Lemon, was fired from CNN on Monday April 24 not long after his heated debate with Indian-American Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
Former President Trump on Monday welcomed the news that CNN had parted ways with longtime anchor Don Lemon, who Trump has feuded with for years. Upon hearing about Lemon being fired, Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social the following:
“Good News: The dvmbest man on television,’ Don Lemon, has finally been fired from Fake News CNN. My only question is, WHAT TOOK THEM SO LONG?”
Lemon had recently been the center of controversy. In February, Lemon made some controversial comments that 51-year-old GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley, was past her “prime” as she advocated for politicians over 75 to take a mandatory cognitive test.
He was forced to undergo training and he later apologized for what he said.
