Ever wonder why Sinach is one of the most respected gospel artist in the gospel music industry and beyond? Keep reading on to find out.
A few weeks ago, one of the most respected female African singers Osinachi Joseph popularly known as Sinach and her husband celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary. Sinach who is currently 48-years old, got married at age 41 to her loving husband Joe Egbu, when most people already concluded that she wouldn’t get married. After getting married in 2014, she had to wait for five years for God to bless her with her first fruit of the womb.
Many concluded that despite her successful music career, she was going to end up childless especially given her age at 46. Sinach’s baby girl then came five years later to quiet critics and shut up doubters and equally make God’s word more profound.
Ironically, even after her proven success, the birth of her daughter subtly led people to respect her even more, especially judging from her lyrics about faith and gratitude for what the Lord has done. Lyrically, Sinach has always preached and uplifted souls while praising and thanking God. She has seemingly done nothing but live a virtuous life while setting unbelievable records with her achievements in music, ministry, and beyond.
Sinach became the first African to rank at number one on the Christian Songwriters’ category of the USA Billboard, for her song ‘Way Maker’ which is the third most-streamed gospel song and which currently stands at 178 million views released back in 2015.
With over 30 years in ministry as a worship leader, she has been able to release a plethora of hit songs. She remains one of the most loved and most respected for her consistency, virtuousness, faithfulness and hard work. She knew exactly what she meant when she said “I know who I am.”
