Iran Attacks Israeli Hospital With Missiles As Fighting Grows Worse

In a very tense moment for the Middle East, Iran has attacked Israel by launching missiles at different places, and one of those missiles hit Soroka Hospital in the city of Beersheba. This hospital is one of the largest in southern Israel and helps more than one million people every year. The attack took place during the night of June 18 to June 19, 2025. Reports confirm that about twenty to thirty missiles were fired by Iran toward Israel. The attack caused heavy damage to Soroka Hospital. Thankfully, one of the wings of the hospital had already been evacuated after warnings of a possible attack, which helped save many lives. Even so, many people were wounded. Reports vary, but it is believed that more than forty people were injured, with some sources stating the number could be more than eighty. Several of the injuries are said to be serious.

According to Iran, the main target of the missiles was an Israeli military building located near the hospital. However, one of the missiles landed directly on the hospital itself, destroying important parts of the building. The leaders of Israel quickly condemned this attack. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the strike as a war crime. He also stated that Iran would pay a very high price for what it had done. Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, promised a strong response and warned that Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, would be personally held responsible for the consequences of this attack.

The Iranian government also sent a strong warning to the United States, telling American leaders to stay out of the conflict. Iran warned former U.S. President Donald Trump, along with current American officials, that if the United States tried to join the war, it would also feel the consequences. In other words, Iran hinted that it might attack American interests in the region or even beyond. At the moment, the United States has not joined the fighting, but reports say that Donald Trump is expected to make a decision about possible actions within the next one or two weeks. Meanwhile, American military ships are already moving closer to the conflict area.

Israel has already begun its military response. Israeli fighter jets and missiles have attacked several sites inside Iran. Some of the targets included nuclear facilities and military bases near the cities of Arak, Natanz, and also close to Tehran. Reports suggest that the Israeli strikes caused heavy damage and resulted in many casualties in Iran. The situation between Iran and Israel is quickly getting worse, and there are growing fears that this could turn into a larger war.

At this time, Soroka Hospital is heavily damaged and cannot operate normally. Only emergency cases are being accepted. Many medical services are currently not available, and patients who were in stable condition have been moved to other hospitals.
