As if that was not enough, he recently got a deal with “Bellair” propelled by American rapper Rick Ross, and as his own way to enhance the deal, to get more influence, he launched a TikTok challenge using the song to market the beverage, a gesture Ross saw and applauded and topped it with an additional $10,000!
It should be noted that, Tzy is not the first Cameroonian artist that the Bellair brand is contacting, as they have worked with Stanley Enow and Blanche Bailly in the past year. However, being contacted by Rick Ross directly, is one of the rarest opportunities this industry has witnessed over the years and we could have been pushing this agenda to see what it produces, but it’s seemingly not the case!
With the energy surrounding him, would you blame him if he talks about his enemies and those who don’t want him to succeed? Would you blame investors for seeing this kind of energy and shying away from the industry?
Keeping in mind that this is not only about Panchak, singer and songwriter Salatiel did a song with Beyoncé in 2019 call Water and many still criticized it while rapper Jovi linked up with Akon, and till today, some people think Jovi was not competent enough while others still do not believe he worked with the Konvict boss (Akon).
Needless to say, there is a lot of work to be done in the industry if Cameroon’s showbiz industry plans to grow. It starts from within, from the artists, to the record labels, to the stakeholders, to the fans, media outlets and the government. A switch in mentality is needed as people want artists to get to international heights, yet the same people doubt their ability to do so when an opportunity arises.
