72-year old Italian priest by name, Don Giuseppe Berardelli, has died of COVID-19 after giving his respirator to a younger patient who was also positive for COVID-19. The respirator he offered to the younger patient whose name and age have not been disclosed, was offered to him by his congregation who wanted to save his life.

Researchers have confirmed that younger patients have higher chances of surviving more the virus than older patients. The Priest is from Lombardy, the most hit Italian locality by coronavirus. He is among almost 80 priests who have lost their lives. Italy has recorded over 80,000 cases and above 8000 deaths.
