Beyoncé Knowles, popularly known as Beyoncé, is considered one of the most popular celebrities and musicians in the world. She is not only popular, but has been nominated 88 times at the Grammys, winning 32 times, the most by any musician.
However, her success as a musician and entrepreneur did not come overnight, as she is one of those musicians who started her music career at a very tender age, a craft she has been consistently phenomenal with.
Besides “Queen B’s” tenacity and consistency, her strength and prowess could be attributed to one man; her father, Mathew Knowles, even if they both had a bittersweet relationship over the years.
When Mathew Knowles, spotted his daughter’s talent early on, he did not hesitate but made it a mandate for her to succeed therein. He would go her to partake in several competitions, where Beyoncé ended up winning most, except for the popular “Talent Search” which she and Girls Tyme shockingly lost 1993. This loss would be somewhat depressing, but fundamentally shaped the career of Beyoncé and her Girls Tyme members.
While Girls Tyme later transitioned into Destiny’s Child, Mathew Knowles remained an important part of this movement, as he was not only his daughter’s manager, but also the band’s manager.
As Destiny’s Child was growing and gaining momentum, it was obvious that Mr. Knowles like any other father, put her daughter at the apex of every other member, that’s why while other members of the band complained about his managerial tactics, he could worry more about his daughter’s welfare before anything.
