This CANUP session amongst many was held in a context marked by the prevalence of malnutrition in the central region and of the Littoral Region.
According to the Cameroon Health Demogrphy of 2018 (EDS 2018), almost 6 out of 10 children less than 5 years old, suffer from anemia and one-third of these children suffer from growth retardation.
It is with this effect that Robert Helou, General Managing Director of Nestlé Cameroon declared that,
“CANUP illustrates Nestlé’s ambition to helping 50 million children lives healthier by 2030. Through its commitment to build, share and apply nutritional knowledge, the Nestlé Nutrition Institute will continue to build the capacity of health professionals.”
