Former Cameroonian dancer, turned fastest rapper and CEO of Power House Entertainment Ko-c seems to do everything right as far as giving the streets what to dance about is concern. Ko-c’s relationship with former Record Label BIG Dreams Entertainment came to an end and the rapper didn’t waste no time but pick up with CEO duties. His journey has been somewhat enviable and you can’t label successful artists of his generation in Cameroon and not list him among.
With popular hits songs like “Bolo C’est Bolo”, “Pala Pala”, “Balance” and other impressive collaborative works, Ko-c seems to have already mastered the art of making hits. Though the country is grieving, the rapper still seems to be getting somuch attention behind the scenes this past week even without major promo plans, and this is prior to his recently released song “Caleçon” featuring Coco Argentée. The song which was just released a few days back currently stands at 998k views. That’s the highest managed by any Anglophone singer, talk more by a rapper.
The hit song, though has been criticised by many because of its message of infidelity, has nothing to be taken away from as far as the strategy is concern. It’s a festive song for the festive season and you can trust Francophone consumers to pick the song up. The song is already trending in towns like Douala, Yaounde already and this explains the skyrocketing YouTube views. How he prevails in national adversity is what we can’t explain. Ko-c’s song is uploaded on his YouTube channel and he might just be the first to hit one million views on the said platform.
