Sunday February 21, 2020, didn’t go down well in Nigeria as an aircraft carrying at least seven military men.
A Nigerian Air Force crashed while returning to the Abuja Airport after reporting an engine failure and all the 7 personnel on board died. Some eye witnesses termed the pilot as a “Hero”because the plane almost crashed into a residential area, but he struggled until they crashed in a bush.
The plane, a Beechcraft King Air 350i, was on its way to the city of Minna, 110 kilometres (68 miles) northwest of the capital, air force spokesman Ibikunle Daramole said in a statement.
The aircraft “crashed while returning to the Abuja Airport after reporting engine failure”, said Daramole. Nigerian president President Buhari sent his condolences.
