Let’s talk about watches, so we get the attention and thoughts of all you watch lovers out there. The focus is on The Bovet Brand. Bovet Fleurier is a Swiss watch brand founded by Édouard Bovet in 1822. Its reputation stems from its pocket watches manufactured for the Chinese market in the 19th century. Today it focuses on artistic watches with prices up to $2.5 million.
Bovet is known by collectors for its dials (Fleurier Miniature Painting), engraving and a seven-day tourbillon. Bovet was one of the first brands to offer skeletonized watches to show off their decorated movements. Bovet is employing women artisans, which is rare for watch making companies.
Bovet is not the most expensive watch in the world. Worldwide, the most expensive watch ever sold at auction worldwide is the Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime Ref. 6300A-010, which fetched $31.19 million (31,000,000 CHF) in Geneva on November 9, 2019 (by Christie’s).
